A black and white illustration of a Hindu deity with three snakes on his head, four arms with each hand holding a different item, and a snake-like tail. There is wavy water underneath him.

The word illuminate has three definitions:

  1. light up or brighten
  2. decorate or adorn
  3. clarify or reveal

The objective for this coloring activity is not simply for the student to color the work of art, but to illuminate it!

As one of the main Hindu gods, he’s pretty regal. He is known as the Preserver because he maintains the law and order of the entire universe! His skin is the color blue to show he is as infinite as the sky. When he is not on earth saving the day, he’s sleeping on a snake dreaming of the world.
